Anna Jones’ 5 Favorite Restaurants

River Café is where I go for a celebration. Being by the Thames and looking out at their little garden of produce is a dream. The open kitchen makes you feel as though you’re part of the process, and their staunch commitment to the seasons is incredible. It’s faultless.

Rasa, an all-veg Indian spot in London, is painted in lurid saccharine pink. You’re greeted by colorful bowls of fennel and sweet digestive spices for chewing after a meal. I always order the beetroot curry.

Spring in London is doing some of the best and most original simple British cooking at the moment. They are always generous to vegetarians, and their dining room is both calm and so beautiful.

Pine + Crane I ate a bowl of noodles in L.A. last winter in this little neighborhood restaurant. I’m still thinking about it now.

Botanica cooked me supper on my last trip to L.A. Their food has plants at the heart — it’s full of color and brightness and love. I am pining to get back to L.A. to eat some more of their food.
